SHIRLEY NIXON – PRESIDENT
Shirley moved to Deer Run in 2012 to be closer to her grandchildren. She is retired but remains active in the insurance industry as a consultant and is involved in the Arts in downtown Dayton. Her primary interest in serving on the board is to retain property values and offer some business expertise. “I enjoy the walking paths, the diversity of people, location, and beautiful homes.”
TAMMY LOCKE – VICE PRESIDENT
Tammy is a registered nurse with over 35 years of experience. She has lived in Deer Run since April 2010. “I like the unique settings and access to great schools and businesses. I also enjoy the sense of hometown, small community, and the aspect of safety and support from terrific neighbors!”

DAN DAUGHTERY – TREASURER
Dan is a retired Commercial Lender from a local Community Bank. He spent 45+ years in the financial industry after acquiring a graduate degree in Business Administration with a major in finance. He and his wife Pam have been residents since October 2014. Dan has been on the Board and served as Treasurer since 2015.
JOHN BERTSHE – SECRETARY
John Bertsche moved to Deer Run in 2019. He runs his 3rd generation family business in Riverside, Ohio, and brings his business and leadership skills to Deer Run to help maintain our beautiful community.
DAVE WARNER
Dave and Wendy Warner were both born and raised in the Dayton area graduating from Wilbur Wright High School. After successful careers, they moved back to the area to be close to family. They have lived in Deer Run since 2023.
VIRGIL MCDANIELS
Virgil is retired from the Dayton Police Department after 28 years. He currently volunteers for Hospice of Dayton and has four grown children. He believe in the Deer Run Community and is motivated to serve.
ROBIN STEVENS
Robin and her husband Glenn moved to Deer Run in 2020. They are lifelong residents of Dayton and have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren all living in the area. Robin has over 40 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation and desires to serve Deer Run with her business knowledge. She also looks forward to supporting effective communication within our lovely community.
